And in honor of my 100th post: an unlikely but...
Hot date with Mr.opera singer! This warrants a repetition-I had a hot date with an opera singer!
Just a side note-We met under very unlikely circumstances, flash back to my high school days. Best friend and I had the car for the night and drove around aimlessly. Imagine, rows and rows of newly built homes surrounded by a few acres of untouched land. She realized we were in the vicinity of her...

Question of the day...
What kind of a fool does not attend their graduation?
Answer: an insomniac with an unhealthy obsession for chocolate, wine, film, design and architecture. This person also has a problem with staying put in one place for too long and isn’t so great in the keeping in touch department. Oh yes, in case that’s not an obvious enough hint, the person in question has annoyingly started...

sick of passive aggressive tactics.
Where is all this animosity coming from? I hardly know since I’m not home 80 percent of the time. But whatever, I’ve vented here-now to put it past me because life is just too short for trivial matters.

What to do when a roommate you presumed possessed a genuinely nice disposition turns out to be snooty, rather mean, and fond of talking behind your back?
Do I stay and put up with this situation? Do I find more comfortable living arrangements? Do I hold my ground for as long as possible and just pretend she’s a pesky fly in the background? Hhmmmm…as usual, more questions than answers.

wow, how did I manage to get home again?
No idea, all a blur-crazy night. Had one too many drinks and a serious smoke (of the natural, organic variety), and now I need sleep. GLORIOUS SLEEP…

I’m up again, and no I’m not over-analyzing and tormenting over things as the usual custom, nope it’s my freaking neighbors, 2am on a Monday and they are playing their IMAX decibel movies, hmm seems like I was in this situation yesterday and the day before that. I don’t understand how they aren’t deaf already. Anyway, no point in getting pissy, might as well type...

Yes! We’re getting a kitty! I couldn’t be more excited about this yet to be born bundle of fur.
And I’m going to Philly tomorrow for some culture via the Picasso exhibit, and to get shit faced drunk with a friend. Double Yes!
Also for the first time in a while I’ve gotten 6 hrs of sleep. I’m on Spring Break and doing mental cartwheels right now.

Studying on such a gorgeous day-an exercise in...
Nothing triggers wanderlust like a sunny day. My reveries these days include visions of Cyprus, Ottoman Turks, anything remotely Byzantine, citrus groves, and of course the coast, always the coast.
A Cyprian sunset. this should keep me going for the rest of the day.

Warning! Gratuitous long rant ahead, read at your...
I think I’ve had the worst month ever and I’m not even exaggerating, not even slightly. Best way to describe this beast of a past few weeks is to list all grievances, every painful bit:
-Phone call with bad news, a very dear family friend passed away. I can’t make it to the funeral because A. I’m all the way on the other coast and B. Semester just began.
-Blizzard from...

Preservation funding is cut which means the government wont be funding important programs like Preserve America. I feel the need to say that again-preservation funding is cut.
The most common reaction from those not in the field and/or those that think preservation has to do with preserving food or old photographs is, so what? Well you see history is vulnerable and frail, sometimes it’s...

Steven Holl is an enigma. His sketches are more evocative and real to me than the built form resulting from those drawings, somehow the magic gets lost in the translation and I’m not sure why.

Blurred perceptions
Sake. Must procure some, if only to calm all thoughts. A blurred sense of perception. Yes that is the goal tonight. Beginning with Diller Scofidio + Renfro’s Blur Pavilion and ending in an emptied out sake bottle.
