Post

And in honor of my 100th post: an unlikely but true event.

Hot date with Mr.opera singer! This warrants a repetition-I had a hot date with an opera singer!

Just a side note-We met under very unlikely circumstances, flash back to my high school days. Best friend and I had the car for the night and drove around aimlessly. Imagine, rows and rows of newly built homes surrounded by a few acres of untouched land. She realized we were in the vicinity of her childhood friend but could not remember the exact address. My impulsive nature was in full force that night, I suggested we walk across the field to locate her friend’s house among the rows of identical boxes.

This adventure ends with me climbing a rickety wooden fence with an inch and a half of space to stand on all the while I’m in heels, and his understandably mistaking me for a crazy psycho but then recognizing my friend and inviting us inside. Miraculously there were no injuries but in the process of walking across the field an overzealous small farmer who did not take kindly to trespassers shot in our direction; we came out unscathed and entered his home through the front door like civilized people. We chatted away into the wee hours but I did not see him after wards. Years later I discovered he moved to the east coast at exactly the same time I did.

Flash forward to present day-Yesterday I swung by his cozy one bedroom apt, whipped up a batch of my famous nutella cupcakes while he made me coffee and we proceeded to watch Fellini’s Satyricon.  He’s a staggering 6’1’ to my 5’1’ and as we said our goodbyes he gently, and slowly leaned in towards me and planted a big soft kiss on the cheek, it had the effect of leaving me in a bit of a daze the rest of the evening. The date was followed by a short and lovely message that night. Personally I can’t wait for the follow up.

PS I think the nutella cupcakes were well received :D
